WineConf Call for Hosts

Nov 07, 2013  So I assume this isn't the directory that MAC OS X wine uses to install wine tricks. I've tried older versions of wine that come with wine tricks, unfortunately they are running into separate issues, (can't get them to recognize XQuartz) and I already have 1.7.0 properly installed along with wget and sudo (installed using./configure). The second command will remove your configuration in your home directory, do not run that second command if you intend to re-install wine. With apt-get you have 2 options to remove a package. Remove removes the package, but leaves the configuration files in place. Purge removes the package + configuration files.

This is a call for proposals to host the next WineConf sometime this year. Ideally proposals would present;

• Proposed dates
• Proposed city
• Information on potential venues and travel

We'll need to choose a host relatively quickly as it does take time to plan and book the event. I'm hoping we can settle on a host by the end of February but ultimately that decision goes to the Wine Committee. Questions, comments, concerns can be posted on the WineConf mailing list. A draft of a guide to hosting has been started on the wiki [1]. Please take a look to get a sense of what is involved in hosting the conference.
